In today's fast-paced world of fashion, where trends come and go in the blink of an eye, it's refreshing to see brands that prioritize creativity and sustainability. UREES, a prominent slow fashion brand, has made it their mission to redefine the way we approach fashion. With their commitment to ethical practices, uni-sex, uni-size and handmade designs, UREES, has become an inspiring platform for those seeking a more conscious and meaningful approach to dressing.
As a fashion model and creative director, I believe that fashion should be a form of self-expression, as well as a space to embrace one's individuality and creativity. The brand itself encourages other individuals to express their own unique style through their clothing, rather than conforming to fleeting trends. The garments are carefully curated to reflect a timeless aesthetic, with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
But UREES,'s commitment to creativity goes beyond their design philosophy. The brand actively collaborated with myself, which has garnered social media attention. Within partnering together with art director and founder Giuseppe Fioretti, we were able to create a visually stunning and thought-provoking campaign that promotes international collaboration and celebrates creativity. Through the collaboration, Fioretti and I aim to inspire individuals to embrace their own authentic selves through the power of slow fashion.
Within researching sustainable brands for years, I have found that not all sustainable brands foster creative direction or mission. Along with sustainability, creativity is deeply ingrained in the brand's DNA. The brand uses sustainable materials, such as recycled fabrics in their production and promotes conscious consumption. I had the honor to wear the brand's very own Marie pants, which is a timeless garment that will last for years.
By partnering with a brand who shares the same values as I do, it felt beyond rewarding to amplify this message and reach a wider audience while inspiring others to join the slow fashion movement. I want to say a huge thank you to the UREES, team as well as the incredible founder, Giuseppe Fioretti. By moving the slow fashion industry forward, we can make the fashion world a better and more eco-conscious place.
All my love,
Nikki Gal xx
